Soccer Party

When an 8 year old is into AG Dolls, Horses, Figure Skating and Soccer, the only party theme she could come up with this year, to suit all of her friends (boys & girls) was Soccer!

For this party, she wanted to have a full game, as well as "Professional Players".  While I don't have Beckham on speed dial, I do have a pretty good list of connections.

We arranged an hour in our Indoor Field house on the Turf for Skills & Drills with 2 competitive and provincially ranked soccer players.  The kids had an amazing time watching their tricks and learning a few themselves.

During the hour the kids were occupied, we  were in the party room creating the transformation.  The room was complete on one side with a "Concession Stand" full of Stadium Food (hotdogs, sunflower seeds, gumballs, popcorn, jelly beans & chocolate soccer balls).

On the other side of the room, we had the tournament area dubbed "Alannah's Field" where the kids were able to play on mini soccer fields, moving their ball (pompom) back and forth with straws.

As Party Favours, each guest took home a bottle of Powerade, Soccer Medal, Soccer Whistle and squishy "hacky sack" style mini soccer ball.
