It's a Frozen Celebration!

Frozen Princess Elsa Party

Just like most parents, I was hoping she would just "Let it Go"!  But instead my little Elsa wanted to celebrate her birthday "Frozen" style.  "I want Elsa mommy!!"  She beamed and was so excited to have Elsa come to her home.

Personally I love the icy blue, white and silver colour palettes, but my daughter loved Anna as much as Elsa and wanted to incorporate both characters into the party décor.  I looked to the girl's dresses for inspiration, which is how I designed the cake.  We used the purple from Anna's dress, the blue from Elsa's and of course snowflakes and snow to include the cutest little snowman!

Now I had my colours and cake I needed to decide on food!  We included healthy options like carrots for "Olaf's nose", cheese strings "icicles" and chocolate covered strawberries "melting hearts".  For less healthy options we offered more of a candy bar with various colour themed treats.  Pearlized chocolate balls, candy sticks, rock candy, chocolate covered Oreos with snowflakes on top, chocolate dipped marshmallows and of course snowballs (powdered mini doughnuts).

All was decided but I needed an Elsa!  I contacted a local company and their Snow Queen was amazing!  She captured the girls (and boys attention) by doing snowman crafts, face tattoos and of course no visit from Elsa would be complete without singing "Let it Go".  The entire house filled with little Elsa's, Anna's and Olaf's singing their best!

To complete the activities each child was able to build their own Olaf with ice cream, pretzel sticks and mini eyes/noses.  What started out as hesitant planning, turned into one of the most fun parties yet!
